Applicants for admission to the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Puerto Rico are evaluated based on four criteria articulated in a formula: academic performance, DAT scores, personal characteristics and approved science courses. A bachelor's degree from the home institution is awarded after successful completion of the first year of dental school, and the DMD is awarded after the participant fulfills all graduation requirements for the SODM.
